Designed by Mike Strantz, The Tradition Golf Club At Stonehouse opened in 1996, and immediately won acclaim as one of the best new courses in the nation.
It's location in Virginia's Tidewater belies the terrain and elevations seen on this course, players will feel they are in another part of the Commonwealth. Stonehouse is laid over wild, tumbling hills near the York River and plays like a mountain course with some cliff-top putting greens offering some challenging approaches. The course includes abrupt ravines, steep forested hillsides and deep bunkers, balanced by the relative safety of broad fairways and large putting greens which gives the player an enormous range of options.
The Tradition Golf Club At Stonehouse also presents guests with first-rate conveniences such as a full-service bar, dining area, practice facilities, and a pro shop.
STONEHOUSE
Signature Hole 17th
One of the most scenic holes on the hilly course. Golfers’ tee shot must carry a deep gorge into a huge green that measures 65 paces from front to back. There are steep dropoffs on all sides of the hole.
