Richmond Shopping

 

Richmond's current shopping hot spot is out west of town off-64 at Short Pump! All the major retailers have a spot out there, but there are malls and centers in every direction. To the south is Midlothian with several shopping malls. To the north is the Virginia Center Mall, and down in Shockoe Bottom are quaint shops and restaurants, which also can in found in the fan along Cary Street.

In nearby Williamsburg, the Outlets Mall, Prime Outlets or Pottery Outlets and several more outlet shopping centers—all located on the Richmond side of town along Route 60W. If you are looking for a bargain, you’re bound to find it in this shoppers paradise!

17th Street Farmers Market

Located at the corner of 17th & Main Streets in Shockoe Bottom is one of the oldest public markets dating back to 1737. The market is seasonal depending on the growing seasons and open on Saturdays at 11 am, from late April through November with special holiday markets and events held through December. One Saturday a month usually has a special family festival event accompanying the market like the Tomato Festival in July, the Shocktoberfest in October and the Brunswick Stew Festival in November.
